I see that X2Go has Xinerama support which seems like is to address my specific itch, but I can't get it to work and some more internet research seems to indicate I might not be able to use Xinerama because of my Intel display chip. It might be worth noting that my laptop has XRandr.
Is there an alternative to X2Go, or a patch or something, that would allow me to remote to my laptop with good performance, and fully utilize both of my monitors? X2Go provides a working 'cloud desktop,' complete with all the advantages of an always-online, remotely-accessible, and easily-scalable computing system with a very fast network. The -only- issue with it is I can only get it to use one of my two physical monitors. The performance is phenomenal and it feels like I just plugged my laptop into my monitor and keyboard. Sometimes I'm allowed to work from home, and what I do is boot my laptop with x2go-server and use the Windows X2Go client to remote to it. Funded, made, translated and built 100 by kind people like yourself. Not only free as in gratis and Open Source, but also copyleft.
